  1. I bought this outfit for my 4 month old to wear at Christmas this year (2012). I washed the outfit, as I do with all new clothing, and the red dye turned Santa's hair pink. I washed it according to directions (in cold water, tumble dry low). The material that was stained is different from the other materials in the outfit and I believe that is why it was the only portion that turned pink. Other than that, it is adorable and slightly big for my 4 month old. I have emailed Mud Pie about it and they said that they may/may not give me a replacement. They have not emailed me back and it has been almost a week. I am hoping that I will get a replacement in time for pictures with Santa, but I'm not confident that the company will stand behind their product.

When I washed it, the red ran all over the Santa's beard - not something I wanted to give my grand-daughter for her Christmas Pajamas. I have never had any problem with Mud Pie items, but this was just disappointing.

  3. I purchased this red Mud Pie outfit for my 2 year old over the white style. I thought the Santa face popped out more than on the white. She wore it this weekend to a Santa Christmas party and got at least 15 compliments on it. Well, I washed it ONCE in cold water, mini cycle and the red color ran all into the white of the beard. I sprayed it with oxystain remover and it only lightened it up during the second wash. I'll still put it on her for around the house but it is out for any events. Not sure it was worth the money.
